All i can say is “Fantastic”, I spoke to Tony initially over the phone, what a gent he was, even came in to let me view the car on a Sunday morning , having travelled 2 hours i was not disappointed, the car was as described and more, i was so pleased, Tony gave me what i was looking for my car. I collected the following Saturday meeting Josh for the first time, he was excellent too, nothing was too much trouble. My wife and i are so pleased with the car, we were so lucky to come across Josh Houghton Motor Company a real Gem.

Based in London but made the journey up as reviews were good and I wasn’t finding anything similar for the same price, the trip up was definitely worth while as vehicle was exactly as described. Communication before and after pick up was very professional, made the whole process effortless.

Highly recommended. The level of service at this dealership was perfect. Josh and his grandad were great from start to finish. Before I picked up my BMW G31 , they changed all break discs, pads, and two new rear tires. They made my purchase so easy and stess-free. If I could give them 10 out of 5 stars, I would.

I visited Josh Houghton Motors a few days ago (Feb ’24) to view a Jag XF and was pleasantly greeted by Tony on arrival. Tony showed me the car and gave me some history which included some detail of how the previous had used it then left me alone, keys in hand, to have a good look around it. The car was immaculate so we took it out for a test drive after which we closed the deal. I collected the car two days later with a new MOT and fully serviced. Tony is a nice guy and was excellent throughout, the whole experience was totally relaxed and without any hint of pressure. A five star experience all round so I have no reservations recommending these guys.

Excellent service from start to finish, Terri was always on hand to answer any queries/questions. Living over two hours always Terri was super efficient getting all the paper work sorted so I could get on the road ASAP. Car was in great condition, great warranty and 12 months MOT.

I bought a new van from Josh this week. I don’t live local to his showroom so had to rely on a verbal description of the vehicle alongside the pictures available on the website to decide on the purchase. Communication from Josh was fantastic leading up to my visit to collect the vehicle and when I arrived all was just as he had described and the pictures had showed. The vehicle was ready to go after sorting out a bit of paperwork and a nice cup of tea. Over the moon with the van and Josh was a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely use this company again for buying or selling a vehicle and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Purchased a Mercedes C class in Sept and traded my old car for it based on photo’s only as I don’t live locally. All went well and the car was as expected and Josh gave a fair price on my trade in.

My Merc developed a fault after about a week, nothing that could have been foreseen by the dealer, but the way Josh dealt with it and the speed it was sorted was a fantastic service. Car dealers never show their true colours until there is an issue and I would recommend JHMC to anyone.

Customer service is next to none. Called on a Saturday to put a deposit down a a BMW 1 series – after 24 hours due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel my order. The lads at JHMC couldn’t be more helpful – deposit was sent back with no quarrel and they tried everything they could to help. 5* service

Josh was actually on holiday abroad when we wanted to view a car. He organised a salesperson from the garage next door to show us the car. We made a deal, all very easy. Josh organised the mot, again whilst on holiday, so we could pick the vehicle up te following week.Very helpful and knowledgeable young man. Would definitely recommend this garage to anyone.

Despite facing difficulties related to Covid, Josh was able to manage logistics whilst working away from the office to ensure my purchase was dealt with as soon as possible. Communication was good and Josh was understanding of my situation. The car was delivered in an immaculate condition and he offered assistance with things such as taxing even after the purchase was made.

Bought my Hyundai in August from Josh and he was a pleasure to deal with. Was buying from 2hrs drive away so took a chance and put deposit down.
